Description

ESCAPE is a chance for the public to meet all of the emergency services which serve the local community. As well as police, fire and ambulance services, there are representatives from other organisations such as RNLI, HM Coastguard, mountain rescue, Wessex 4x4 Response, cave rescue and of course Freewheelers EVS. The day is organised by the Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB) which uses hovercraft to rescue people stuck on the extensive mudflats in Bridgwater Bay.
