Freewheelers EVS

Donating to Freewheelers EVS PDF E-mail
Freewheelers EVS is a registered charity (No.1001067) entirely supported by donations and sponsorship. We do not charge the NHS for our services. None of our riders or co-ordinators are paid for the of time that they give to the charity.

Chart showing number of calls covered by FreewheelersAs can be seen from the graph on the right, Freewheelers handles nearly 2,200 calls each year and covers a distance of around 100,000 miles. Annual running costs for the 3 in-service bikes and our standby bikes are around £25,000. This covers expenses like fuel (currently around £500/month), maintenance, road tax, insurance and around £7,000 to replace the oldest bike on our fleet. If we were not able to do this our fleet would age and become more unreliable so affecting our ability to provide a reliable and immediate service to hospitals in our area.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps us to deliver our valuable services to the NHS. To donate use the PayPal logo on the right, or contact any of the charity's officers.

Throughout the year Freewheelers attends a number of events where we hold collections. In 2007 we are looking to do additional fundraising through different events such as a sponsored parachute jump. Our fund raising page has more information on this and other ways we are aiming to raise money.

See the eBay section of our fund raising page for information on how you can support Freewheelers by buying from our charity auctions or donating a percentage of the proceeds from your own auctions.

You can make a quick and easy donation to Freewheelers using a credit or debit card, PayPal - ideal if you have a balance left over from some eBay auctions and don't know what to do with it. This online facility, provided by JustGiving, means that we can reclaim the gift aid on your donation. Simply click the "Donate online" button on the right-side of this page. If you do not want to use the online facility to donate then please contact one of the charity's officers listed on the Contacts page

If your group is holding a fundraising event for Freewheelers EVS and would like us to attend with one of our bikes, please get in contact as early as possible through our contacts page. Subject to operational constraints we will normally be happy to supply a bike and rider. We also have a superb cut-out bike which we will be happy to loan.
