Sarah lost her battle with cancer earlier this year at the age of 28. Sarah was always keen to have a go on a motorcycle and was always aware and very grateful for what Freewheelers do for patients and hospitals around the area. Her parents, Cathy and Dave are pictured here with our own Andy Smith accepting the award. The awards were run by the local Burnham and Bridgwater Times, Wells Journal, Shepton Mallet Journal, Central Somerset Gazette and the Cheddar Valley Gazette. Following on from the recent news that we had been selected as a Finalist in the Heart of Somerset Awards we were very pleased to accept an award for our commitment to the community as we were presented with the Sarah Atkins Award.
